Reporting to the Computer Systems Manager, the Computer Systems Supervisor position is responsible for the delivery and support of IT services to the company’s end users. This includes the installation, updating and administration of all computer hardware & software (servers, routers, switches, desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, cameras, phones, documentation, policies and other workplace technical services). This position requires strong ability for SQL query writing. This position is also responsible for researching, developing and implementing plans to utilize newer technologies to improve the company’s processes and efficiencies in a controlled and efficient manner.




  • Maintain and update all computer servers on a regular schedule
  • Verify that all backups complete successfully on a daily basis
  • Ensure that all hardware warranty and software assurance plans stay current
  • Develop new and update existing documentation, policies and procedures
  • Create and modify ActiveReports & SSRS reports as required by Management
  • Fix minor errors and issues in SQL databases using T-SQL scripts
  • Coordinate associated vendor-provided services
  • Manage inventory, tracking and disposal of all IT equipment
  • Provide helpdesk support to all users in a timely fashion, based on priority

IT Device Management:

  • Maintain deployed IT hardware devices through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and/or replacement
  • Maintain inventory of all deployed hardware & installed software
  • Maintain software media, licences and installation files
  • Develop, configure and maintain standard configurations for all IT devices
  • Install, configure and maintain end-user operating systems and application software
  • Provide user support for hardware & installed applications
  • Investigate, evaluate and recommend software applications to meet business needs
  • Run daily, monthly and yearly procedures as directed by Management
  • Archive old database records as required (monthly)

User Account Management:

  • Perform user account management in eDirectory including granting/revoking access rights to system resources
  • Add/remove users from eMail system, as directed by HR and/or Management

Special Purpose Computer Support:

  • Provide technical support for computers used as dedicated control systems for laboratory and manufacturing processes
  • Provide imaging and restore services for special purpose computers upon request of the business unit responsible for the equipment
  • Manage computer audio, video and projection systems for conference rooms

Network Infrastructure Support:

  • Install/terminate data cables and troubleshoot/fix network issues plant-wide
  • Routine configuration/maintenance of network infrastructure and VLANs

Desk & Cell Phone System Support:

  • Add/move/change/deploy user phone devices
  • Provide support for local phone system and associated devices & accessories
  • Local technical point of contact for contractor interactions
  • Manage inventory of cell & desktop phones
  • Provide support (iPhone & Android)to users (specially connectivity to eMail)

Business Application Support:

  • Provide user and administrative support for business ERP applications as assigned
  • Troubleshoot/resolve issues with ERP software that are encountered by users, and liaise/follow up with vendor when necessary


  • Develop and maintain system documentation
  • Develop and maintain user training materials



  • DNS, VPNs, VLANs, Hyper-V, Clustered Servers, Windows Server, SQL Server, SQL Queries, SQL Report, Writing, IIS, Windows 10, strong analytical skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods
  • Some lifting up to 50 lbs may be required from time to time
  • Monday to Friday, any overtime as required – Flexibility with schedule is necessary
  • Will be working in an office and manufacturing environment



  • BSc in Information Technology preferred
  • Some certification in SQL Server desired
  • Prior IT support role experience
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills

  • Conduct and submit a Daily Truck Report
  • Perform a Weekly Service Truck Inspection
  • Review work orders
  • Load glass products and parts safely onto truck (assistance from Service Helper)
  • Glaze and de-glaze windows on job site
  • Repair, replace, and reinstall Pollard products and screens
  • Address customer inquiries
  • Set up ladder and scaffold on site (assistance from Service Helper)
  • Responsible for safety and well-being of Service Helper
  • Clean truck
  • Quality control – report any quality issues to the Plant 2S Supervisor
  • Complete and submit a Daily Work Order Travel Sheet
  • Handle cash and cheques
  • Hand in and sign off all gas receipts

Pollard Windows is looking for recent grads for a Junior Customer Service Representative role where you can learn and grow within the company.

A liaison between Outside Sales Representative and Production, the CSR is an Inside Sales Support to Outside Sales Reps; ensuring customer’s needs are met regarding orders. This includes answering inquiries on orders, pricing, product, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides in-house support for sales team when a customer requires information or assistance
  • Maintains quality customer relations using strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Answers customer’s phone calls promptly, efficiently, and with courtesy
  • Ensure all customer requests are dealt with in a prompt and friendly manner, following up with them at key points (ex. Reply to them before the day-end, and let them know you are currently working on a solution – providing them with realistic timelines)
  • Address customer concerns and enquiries with respect to product and delivery; ensure the customer is receiving the product they have requested and on time (Enter their requests promptly, ask for assistance if a “rush order” is required), perusing the confirmation
  • Inform the Outside Sales Representative if you have provided a service to the customer that they should be aware of – this is to maintain communication between the CSR and Outside Sales Rep to ensure consistent service
  • Notify the Scheduling Department of any changes or updates to customer delivery schedules
  • Rectify customer complaints in a quick manner; keeping customer satisfied with overall service
  • Report any customer dissatisfaction/trends to Customer Service Manager for further review
  • Maintain business files including binder information, addresses, customer name, builder profiles, etc.
  • Maintain accurate specification sheets (daily), confirm shipping schedules including calling customers every morning
  • Complete requests for product returns, bringing these requests to the Sales or Customer Service Manager for approval
  • Ensure Purchase Orders once received are properly priced and signed
  • Ensure deposits and balances are collected before the product is shipped; provide a copy of the Purchase Order to the customer once complete
  • Provide support to other CSR’s as needed and as business demands
  • Cover reception desk / switchboard as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

In this job, you would work in close liaison with Customers, Sales, and Production while making site deliveries of Pollard Windows Products in an automatic transmission 24’ delivery truck. Deliveries take place across Ontario and across-border into the USA. Drivers Load and Unload at Pollard Shipping Dock and Customer Sites with the assistance of a Driver’s Helper.

• First Aid / CPR Training is an asset; required upon hire
